The Box of Books

My packaged arrived, containing all the books I purchased during my time at Mises University. There were so many books, I’ll measure them in weight. The entire package weighed 20 pounds, 9.4 ounces (9.3 kilograms), while the newly purchased books weighed 15 pounds, 6.9 ounces (7 kilograms).

I was becoming concerned. I mailed the package from the United States Postal Service outlet at Atlanta Airport more than 10 weeks ago, on 7 August. I sent Global Economy (the slow boat), so was expecting delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.

My collection of works by the Austrian Economists is now complete with the addition of Capital and Interest by Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk, as well as The Theory of Money and Credit, Socialism, and Theory and History by Ludwig von Mises. Others books included, Democracy: the god that failed by Hans-Hermann Hoppe, and Defending the Undefendable by Walter Block.

The only question is, when am I going to find the time to read all these?

Not only did Danny buy more books, but he bought multiple copies of some and an extra copy of others so that he could get it signed. He only just cleaned out his bookcases last week!!

Yes, I did purchase Democracy: the god that failed just for the signature, but hey, another copy to give away (anyone interested?). I purchased two copies of Defending the Undefendable, one to give as a present.

What a gift to give someone else. What a surprise!!! “Merry Christmas, here’s Defending the Undefendable”

“Gee, thanks” (in a dull tone) would be my reply

Tim, I know that would be your reaction, this is why I am not giving the book to you.

Were you two in the same room writing those messages to each other via the internet?

Yes we were in the same room, but at totally different times, as you can see.
