So 400 of that 430 million will be from iPod accessories?Danny Haynes, 27 November 2005, 13:43:
The Apple iPod is providing many opportunities for companies other than Apple to make money selling iPod accessories. In a press release dated 7 September 2005, Greg Joswiak of Apple said, “The iPod economy is thriving with over 1,000 accessories now available.”As for Apple, the financial data shows the iTunes Music Store, and iPod related products drew revenue of $265 million, compared to iPod sales of $1,212 million, and computer hardware sales of $1,611 million in the quarter. So overall, iPod draws nearly half of Apple’s revenue.
