Trip to the USA

I will soon be leaving Australia (don’t worry, I will be coming back) to enjoy a holiday in the United States of America (29 July – 26 August).

The main attraction is Mises University (an educational program of the Mises Institute) for an entire week learning about the Austrian School of economics and meeting great people. (I know, I can already hear you saying, “I wish I was coming too.”) I am sure the week will end all too quickly.

In Orlando, Florida, there will be an opportunity to visit Disney World before traveling up the east coast to New York City. On the way, the Kennedy Space Center, and two days in Washington, DC. I also have some free time in New York City to explore by myself. (To my great disappointment, it appears there is no recording of the Late Show with David Letterman when I am in New York. Why, oh why?)

I have been looking for some churches to visit on Sunday mornings. So far I have found Lakeview Baptist Church, Parkway Baptist Church, and Auburn First Baptist Church in Auburn, Alabama; as well as Heritage Baptist Church, Abyssinian Baptist Church, and Trinity Baptist Church in New York City.

I am looking forward to this action-packed adventure.

Not even Disney World could match the excitement that Mises World has on offer. I doubt anything you do after the first week will excite you, even the genius of Walt Disney or Dave Letterman (if there was a recording).

you ARE going to visit Cato I hope…

Tim, my CATO experience will only involve admiring the building from the outside. My two free days in Washington occur on a Saturday and Sunday when there is no CATO event. The other option is to make a day trip from New York, but according to Google Maps, CATO is more than four hours drive away from New York. There are other great things in New York. I’ll be visiting Wall Street and the Charging Bull.

I dare you to wear a Che Guevara t-shirt to the Mises summer school!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is CATO. Either reply here or you can tell me tonight:)

Pete, hmmm … Che Guevara. I think I’d prefer the Mises Family Crest Golf Shirt.

Maybe you could ask NASA to delay return to flight for another 4 days?
    (launch now due 26 July)

just wonderful – don’t forget to keep your page up to date.

Let Hammer productions know I thought the CD was marvellous and I think he has a great career as a director.

    Have a wonderful trip
